At The Apple Tree Academy, learning is led through your child’s spontaneous play and exploration and is focused on integrating meaningful learning with engaging activities.
Reggio Emilia is a participation-based social approach to learning with a balance between individual, small, and large group activities, child-directed and teacher-initiated activities, and inside as well as outside| experiences. It is founded on the principle that children learn best through hands-on experience and active participation to inform their own, individual education.
Like Reggio Emilia, Montessori is a student-led way of learning, with an emphasis on independence and self-motivated curiosity. Each child is allowed to take all the time they need to fully understand each concept and meet individualized learning goals. This is reinforced by our own centers’ belief that children can learn in whatever way works best for them, and our teachers support them in doing SO.
